Glycosides are relatively infrequently reported in this series, and are more typically found in bark than in heartwood. Three common flavonol 3-rhamnosides were first characterized from tree barks afzelichin (kaempferol 3-rhamnoside) from Afzelia, quercitrin (querctin 3-rhamnoside) from Quercus, and myricitrin (22) (myricetin 3-rhamnoside) from Myrica, Finally, it may be noted that the only known source of C-glycosylflavonols, as distinct from the much more common C-glycosylflavones, is the woody tissue of Zelkowa serrata. One such glyco-flavonol is keyakinin (23) the 6-C-glucoside of kaempferol 7-methyl ether. [Pg.542]

In rabbits this fraction produced hypoglycemic effect which progressed as the drug treatment progressed [38],... [Pg.464]
