Within his dreams and visions, Zosimos was able to ask questions of the figures who appeared, and they gave him instruction about the meaning of the actions and symbols within the visions. C.G.Jung studied these visions and wrote a commentary entitled, The Visions of Zosimos, which includes the text of the visions.47...

The effects of EDCs on behavior in fish have been more extensively studied than in birds. Examples of the effects of EDCs seen in fish include profound alterations in courtship behavior in male guppies (Poecilia reticulate) exposed to vinclozolin and DDE, including at environmentally relevant concentrations (Baatrup and Junge 2001) and altered courtship behavior in three-spined stickleback exposed to environmentally relevant concentrations of EE2 (Bell 2001). In the stickleback studies, exposed males became less aggressive and had a reduced nesting activity, and this was linked with reduced concentrations of the male sex androgen 11-ketotestosterone. The oligomer distribution is highly dependent on the method of isolation of the oligomers (TLC, Soxhlet or dissolution/precipitation). Jung and Lee [513] have determined a dimer of 2-phenylbenzoxazole in a polyester resin by means of TLC. A comparative study of the separation of styrene oligomers (up to dodecamers) by TLC and OPLC has appeared [514].

The consumption of a mixture of phenolic compounds presented in apple or purple grape juice inhibited mammary carcinogenesis in 7,12-dimethylbenzo[a]anthracene (DMBA) treated rats (Liu and others 2005 Jung and others 2006). However, the individual antioxidants of these foods studied in clinical trials, including (3-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E, do not appear to have consistent preventive effects comparable to the observed health benefits of diets rich in fruits and vegetables, suggesting that natural phytochemicals in fresh fruits and vegetables could be more effective than a dietary supplement.
