Die elektrochemische Reduktion von Nitroso-benzolen (z. B. 4-Anilino-l-nitroso-benzol) und der lOfachen molekularen Menge Aceton in Wasser ergibt sekundare Amine (z.B. (4-Isopropylamino-phenyl)-phenyl-amin 95 %)3.

Bei Einsatz von z. B. 3,5-Dimethyl-l-(imino-isopropylamino-methyl)-pyrazo]/ai-Brom-aceto-phenon erhalt man infolge Hydrolyse des nicht isolierten 2-(3,5-Dimethyl-pyrazolo)-l-isopro-pyl-4-phenyl-im idazols 2-Hydroxy-1 - isopropyl-4 -phenyl- imidazol (51 %)105 ... 

Mittels dieser Arbeitsweise lassen sich auch einige Imine ungesattigter Aldehyde in mitt-leren Ausbeuten reduktiv zu sekundaren Aminen alkylieren bzw. arylieren, z.B. die N-Isopropyl-imine von 2-Butenal und Zimtaldehyd mit Butyl-lithium bzw. Phenyl-lithium zu 4-Isopropylamino-2-octen bzw. 1,3-Diphenyl-3-isopropylamino-propen2. 

Mit dem gleichen Reagenz erhalt man z. B. aus N-Propyl-benzaldimin erythro-4-Methyl-5-phenyl-5-propylamino-l-penten (75%) und aus N-Benzyl-benzaldimin 5-Benzylamino-4-methyl-5-phenyl-1-penten (90% erythro threo = 8 92)2 analog erhalt man aus 2-Phenyl-propanal-isopropylimin mit 9-Allyl-9-bora-bicyclo[3.3.1]nonan erythro-4-Isopropylamino-5-phenyl-l-hexen ( 90%)1. 

With the lithium amide of the diamine (,S )-l-isopropylamino-1-phenyl-2-pyrrol idinyl-ethane (12), an analogue of the ether amide shown previously, almost no mixed complexes were formed with n-BuLi (Li-12/n-BuLi), i.e. the equilibrium was almost completely shifted toward the homoaggregates. The apparent equilibrium constant, K, of Scheme 5 was determined to be 0.14 M.

Analysis of the enantiomeric ratios of several p-blocking drugs (l-aryloxy-3-isopropylamino-2-propanol derivatives) is carried out by HPLC with UV or fluorescence detection after derivatization with (R)-NEI or (i )-(+)-l-(l-phenyl)ethyl isocyanate (in a reversed-phase system), or (S)-NEI (on silica gel) only the amine function of the drugs reacts with the NEI the hydroxy group does not. Similar schemes for HPLC determination of enantiomeric purity of tetrahydrofolate derivatives and of fluoxetine are also reported. 

A study of the photodeconjugation reaction of the ester (136) in the presence of a variety of optically active amines such as (IR,2S)-l-phenyl-2-isopropylamino propanol has shown that the product can be obtained with an enantiomeric excess of about 70 X. Irradiation of the alkynylketones (137) in alcohols (methanol, ethanol or propanol) affords the furan derivatives (138) by a free radical hydrogen abstraction path. Excitation of the cyclohexenone derivatives (139) yields the cyclized products (140) the structures of which were verified by X-ray crystallography. The formation of the amide products is reminiscent of a Norrish Type II process. 

Hydroxy-2-isopropylamino-5-phenyl-I,3-thiazol [R1 = CH(CH),)2 R = C H5] Eine Mischung von 27,3 g (0,1 mol) Benzolsulfonsaure-(a-cyan-benzylester), 11,8 g N-lsopropyl-thioharnstoff und 75 ml Aceton wird bis zur Auflosung geschuttelt. Es liiufl eine stark exotherme Reaktion ab. Nach 12 h Stehen wird mit Diethylether verdunnt, wodurch sich ein rotes 01 abscheidet. 

Diazomethyl-benzoesaure-isopropylamid und drei Aquivalente Butindisaure-dimethylester geben in Benzol beim Erhitzen am RiickfluB und in Gegenwart von 5 Mol.% Kupfer(II)-(2,4-pentandionat) in 82%iger Ausbeute 3(5),4-Dimethoxycarbonyl-5(3)-(2-isopropylamino-carbonyl-phenyl)-lH-pyrazol (Schmp. 145°)803.
