Inverse thin-layer chromatography

FIGURE 1.28 Typical readout from inverse thin-layer chromatography. [Pg.42]

We have found similar results in our laboratories making impregnated papers with PPy and PAn for inverse thin-layer chromatography.28 The method we used to prepare PAn-modified paper was to load filter paper strips with aniline, which was allowed to diffuse throughout the paper for about 10 min. The strips were then immersed in FeCl3 that had been acidified with HC1. The PAn adheres well to the filter paper when it is dried, and no problems with chemical instability were observed. The morphology of the polymer surface was that of the filter paper substrate. [Pg.235]

In ofher work, fhe use of inverse thin layer chromatography (ITLC), (Figure 1.24) has been investigated. This approach was found fo be comple-... [Pg.44]

Successful separation of isomers was reported shortly afterwards by Mannschreck and Seitz. The diaziridine mixture obtained from benzyl methyl ketone, benzylamine, and methylhydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid could be separated by thin-layer chromatography into isomers 113a and 113b. At 70°C the half-life of one individual isomer was 431 minutes, the barrier of inversion being 27.4 kcal/mol. The existence of configurational... [Pg.87]

Other in situ techniques have also been developed in recent years that measure changes in the chemical interactions that occur.150 They include inverse chromatography, in which the polymer is used as the stationary phase in a column or thin-layer mode, and a series of molecular probes is used to determine the molecular interaction capabilities of the polymer. These systems may be adopted to allow the application of electrical stimuli (as shown in Figure 1.27) to the polymer and to study... [Pg.37]
