Several rare lymphomas exist in the lung. The most notable is lymphomatoid granulomatosis. Other rare lymphomas include intravascular lymphoma, primary effusion lymphoma, pyothorax-associated lymphoma, secondary lymphomas/leukemias, and Erdheim-Chester syndrome. 

INTRAVASCULAR LYMPHOMA The CNS is One of the sites of predilection for intravascular lymphoma, a large B-cell lymphoma. The neoplastic cells fill the blood vessel lumina. The clinical presentation mimics vasculitis. Neoplastic cells are positive for CD20.

INTRAVASCULAR LARGE B-CELL LYMPHOMA " " " The majority of cases express B-cell markers, although T cells have been reported. A variety of lymphocyte homing receptors have been discovered on the cell surface, allowing one to hypothesize about the mechanism of restriction of the lymphoma cells to the intravascular space.
