Interfacial processes geological systems

Another way to study the interfacial processes of rocks and soils is the investigation of a sample from the original rock and soil. In the case of real geological or environmental problems, it is essential to do these studies even if the results cannot be given a theoretical interpretation, and several factors must be neglected. Of course, the results are valid only for the studied system. However, when the samples are well defined from chemical, miner-alogical, or soil science points of view, general conclusions may be drawn. [Pg.83]
