For fast access to the two-electron integrals, a four-dimensional array might be straightforward. The four indices of the four dimensional array correspond to the four basis function indices, p, v, X, and a, respectively. However, the four dimensional array may take a huge main memory or computer disk space even for a medium-size molecule. Therefore, this may not be practical. 

Conventional filtration theory has been challenged a two-phase theory has been appHed to filtration and used to explain the deviations from paraboHc behavior in the initial stages of the filtration process (10). This new theory incorporates the medium as an integral part of the process and shows that the interaction of the cake particles with the medium controls filterabiHty. Additional equipment is sometimes integrated vvkth horizontal-belt filters to further devv ater the cake through expression. The addition of such equipment shouldn t be confused with expression equipment that utilizes filter medium belts. Belt type expression equipment is described later in the Expression subsection. 

A hybridoma can live indefinitely in a growth medium that includes salts, glucose, glutamine, certain amino acids, and bovine serum that provides essential components that have not been identified. Serum is expensive, and its cost largely determines the economic feasibihty of a particular ciilture system. Only recently have substitutes or partial replacements for serum been found. Antibiotics are often included to prevent infection of the culture. The pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen, and carbon dioxide concentration must be closely controlled. The salt determines the osmotic pressure to preserve the integrity of the fragile cell. 

One hundred tubes were taken as the representative sample population and all were integrated for three different density distributions and each at 3 different levels of runaway tubes (few, medium, and many tubes in runaway.) Altogether 900 integrations were performed and the results analyzed. Figure 9.8.1 shows the distribution of observed maximum ATs with the hundred tubes with 5% random packing variation and at beginning of runaways at 486 K wall temperatures.
