Shipping vehicles inspections

In efforts to prevent dirty bombs from coming to the U.S. by ship, national security agency leaders and port officials must focus primarily on inspecting motor vehicles before they are loaded onto car carriers. A bomb can potentially be hidden inside a trunk and activated either inside or outside the shipping terminal. [Pg.8]

From time to time, your drivers will need to submit to roadside inspections. During these inspections, your driver s documents (e.g. log book, medical card, shipping papers, etc.) and the vehicle will be examined. [Pg.341]

The inspector also needs to accurately identify the motor carrier. This is critical so that the inspection results get attributed to the correct carrier.
