Stereochemistry. - There has been a far infra-red spectroscopic study of ethyl phosphine,130 and in combination with X-ray fluorescence, further work completed on the conformational analysis of dialkylphenyl phosphines.131 The influence of water on the conformational equilibria of trimethyl phosphate has received attention.132 There has been a low temperature solid state and matrix isolation study of methyl phosphorodichi oridate,133 and a conformational study of polymorphic modifications of diphenyl-phosphinyl acetic acid hydrazide. 34... [Pg.406]

The physical and chemical properties of MgO films prepared by the sol-gel technique were the area interest of the examinations presented by Shukla75. The aim of mentioned work was to produce films with nano size particles so as to employ them for the sensor applications, as adsorption in such films increases many folds due to the increase of surface area. Infra-red spectroscopic studies indicated the presence of solvent in the precursor, which helped in decomposition to nano-particles during nucleation of the film. The MgO sol-gel films were deposited on the glass rod bend in U-shape for humidity sensor. [Pg.370]

It is understandable that pyrrole should possess a finite dipole moment (p. 51). Further, the resonance description requires the molecule to be planar. The classical structure (15) could accommodate a pyramidal nitrogen atom, but although dipole-moment studies allow the extra-annular nitrogen valency an out-of-plane latitude of 7°, and Raman and infra-red spectroscopic studies favour the planar form but do not rigorously exclude a non-planar formas, the microwave rotational spectrum confirms the truly planar structure (18). [Pg.17]

An important mechanistic aspect of the Cu-bisphosphine-catalyzed addition reactions of dienolates to aldehydes is worth highlighting. Infra-red spectroscopic studies have collectively provided insight into the details of this process. In this respect, these processes have been suggested to proceed through metaloenolate intermediates [146]. As such, the process complements the traditional Mukaiyama aldol addition reaction, which typically proceeds through Lewis activation of the electrophilic aldehyde partner. [Pg.135]
