Dr. Richard Walentowicz provided the EPA CD-ROM disk entitled Exposure Models Library and Integrated Model Evaluation System" with other reference material. Lester Wittenberg of the Center for Chemical Process Safety, AIChE was particularly helpful in providing a chenncal industry perspective and reference material as was Dr. Steven Arendt of JBF Associates, Inc. Drs. David Hesse of Battelle Columbus Laboratories and Vinod Mubayi of Brookhaven National Laboratory were very helpful in providing material on the chemical consequence codes. 

Examples can be effectively woven into the proposal text, with documents included as appendices. Another approach is to incorporate all supporting examples in a single section devoted to "Industry Perspective."...

Bubble columns and mechanically stirred reactors are the most common reactor types for slurry systems in laboratories, but they have many disadvantages from an industrialization perspective. Mechanically stirred reactors usually used for laboratorial studies are difficult to scale-up. In order to achieve good mixing and mass transfer between the gas and slurry phases, bubble column must be operated at a high space velocity, which leads to a relative low one-through conversion of the syngas.
