Incomplete studies

The addition of solid Ba2Xe06 to cold cone H2SO4 produces the second known oxide of xenon, Xe04. This is an explosively unstable gas which may be condensed in a liquid nitrogen trap. The solid tends to detonate when melted but small sublimed crystals have been shown to melt sharply at —35.9°C. Xe04 has only been incompletely studied, but electron diffraction and infrared evidence show the molecule to be tetrahedral. 

Bamberger, Padova, and Ormerod reported in 1926 an interesting but incomplete study of several unusual products obtained from 5-amino-2,3-diaryl-l,2,3,4-tetrazolium salts (400). Recently this topic has been the subject of a detailed study by I. S. Smith, and the existence of several derivatives of meso-ionic l,2,3,4-tetrazol-5-imines (399) has now been firmly established. Comparison of Smith s recent results with the earlier results of Bamberger et alP is instructive. 

This paper discusses three aspects of our extensive but as yet incomplete studies of the reaction oxygen uptake in rigorously purified materials, the effects of added iron complexes, and the influence of a well-known radical capture agent. An interesting feature of the last, anticipated from the work of Rosenwald (19) on inhibitor sweetening, was the large accelerating effect of N,N -di- ec-butyl-p-phenylenediamine on the co-oxidation reaction. 

On the other hand, the determinant equation (5.28) allows the study of complex reaction kinetics with incompletely studied mechanisms neglecting the assumptive stationary concentration method. Let us assume that the most probable mechanism of methane oxidation to methanol with hydrogen peroxide is unknown. Then equations (5.29) and (5.30) should be presented in the form that discloses the conjugation mechanism of these two reactions ... 

This yet incomplete study shows that in all series for which information is available, the bridge anti-Cl(A) is indeed more important than the syn-C1 (s) for toxicity, but replacement of the vinylic chlorines does not necessarily confer the toxicity increase found in the dieldrin series ... 

Not only is it possible to convert dicobalt octacarbonyl to cobalt carbonyl anion but an as yet incomplete study indicates that it is possible to convert the anion to the dimer by the reversal of Equation (2). Ejfect of Hypothyroidism on Expression of Ion Channels and Pumps The effect of hypothyroidism on the expression of sarcolemmal proteins involved in action potential propagation and Ca entry in skeletal muscle has been incompletely studied. For example, hypothyroid muscles have lower levels of Na —ion pump activity (Kjeldsen et al., 1986) and expression (Everts and Clausen, 1988 Everts, 1996). Moreover, plasma K -ion concentrations increase to a greater extent during exercise in hypothyroid dogs compared to controls, consistent with hypothyroid-induced reductions in Na —ATPase pump activity... 

For immersed objects the turhulence level of theJncident fluid also has an important effect [8].
