Inclination angle

In order to check the the validity of this method [8], 6 detection media Px where selected and applied on the reference pieces following the instructions of the standard (inclination angle 45° 3 applications of the detection medium and averaging). The arrangements of the cuts can be seen at Fig. 3. Indications or parts of indications are chosen for the valuation and marked by dashed lines. [Pg.672]

The relation between the columnar inclination angle (P) and the angle of incidence (a of the evaporation flux was found to be 2tan/5 = tana (45). The so-called tangent rule is not always vafld in a variety of experimental situations. [Pg.179]

More recent developments in the rolling ball area include an automated micro viscometer, the Paar AMV 200, from Paar Physica. The specimen to be measured is introduced into a glass capillary down which a gold-covered steel ball roUs. The rolling time is measured automatically. The shear stress may be varied by changing the inclination angle of the capillary tube. The shear rate range is 10 1000, which makes the instmment useflil for... [Pg.190]

Estimation of Transportation Velocity of Solid Particles in Pipe Flow at Various Inclination Angles 1335... [Pg.1317]

The important factor in the pressure loss calculations will be c, the velocity of the conveyed material, and therefore it is important to know this term. It is clear that with the same gas velocity v, the velocity of the conveyed material will be different at various pipe inclination angles S. In this section we... [Pg.1335]

Table 4-122 gives the inclination angles corresponding to one to seven pulses with three cones. Fifteen cones are available. The maximum measurable angle is 10°. The range must be selected before lowering the drillstring. [Pg.929]

Angle of buildup Rate of change ( /lOO ft) of the inclination angle in the section of the hole where the inclination from the vertical is increasing. [Pg.1079]

Angle of inclination (angle of drift) The angle, in degrees, taken at one or at several points of variation from the vertical as revealed by a deviation survey sometimes called the inclination or angle of deviation. [Pg.1079]

Buildup That portion of the hole in which the inclination angle is increased. [Pg.1079]

Jet bit deflection A method of changing the inclination angle and direction of the wellbore by using the washing action of a jet nozzle at one side of the bit. [Pg.1081]

The original hole direction and inclination were measured to be S60°W and 6°, respectively. To obtain a new hole direction of S75°W with an inclination angle of 7°, a whipstock with the deflection angle of 2° was used and oriented correctly. [Pg.1086]

Recently a mathematical model has been presented [135] that enables one to analyze and plan deflection tool runs. The model is a set of equations that relate the original hole inclination angle (a), new hole inclination angle (a, ), overall angle change (P), change of direction (Ae), and tool-face rotation from original course direction (7). [Pg.1088]

Surveying shows that the hole drift angle is 22° and direction S36°W. It is desired to turn the hole of 6° to the right and build angle. For this purpose a deflection tool with a dogleg of 3° is used. What is the expected new hole inclination angle What is the required tool direction ... [Pg.1089]

In Fig. 5.39a-d the local heat transfer coefficients derived in the horizontal tube are compared to those obtained in the 8° upward inclined pipe and presented by Hetsroni et al. (2006). The results show a clear improvement of the heat transfer coefficient with the pipe inclination. Taitel and Dukler (1976) showed that the flow regimes are very sensitive to the pipe inclination angle. In the flow regime maps presented in their work, the transition from stratified to annular flow in the inclined tube occurs for a smaller air superficial velocity than for the case of the horizontal tube. [Pg.240]

As it has been already shown the adsorption-induced change in the value of percolation electric conductivity of adsorbent and tangent of inclination angle in its pre-relaxation VAC are determined by adsorption-related change in the value of the percolation level and correlation length of the system, i.e. by functions c(0 and f ( c>0. One can readily conclude for 4c t) that when Nt < 4a - 4 co < i-e. at small Nt and... [Pg.59]

As for equilibrium values of as and P they are mainly dependent on relations between such parameters of the systems as initial electric conductivity of adsorbent, concentration of chemisorbed particles, reciprocal position of the energy levels of absorbate and adsorbent. Thus, during acceptor adsorption in case of small concentration of adsorption particles one can use (1.82) and (1.84) to arrive to expressions for equilibrium values of ohmic electric conductivity and the tangent of inclination angle of VAC ... [Pg.63]

Summing up the above said we examined in our experiments the adsorption-caused change in ohmic electric conductivity and the inclination angle of pre-relaxation VAC of polycrystalline oxide adsorbents. [Pg.74]

We used polycrystalline films of ZnO and Sn02 as adsorbents. The films were deposited from the water suspension of respective oxides on quartz substrates. These substrates contained initially sintered contacts made of platinum paste. The gap between contacts was of about lO" cm. All samples were initially heated in air during one hour at T 500 C. We used purified molecular oxygen an acceptor particle gas. H and Zn atoms as well as molecules of CO were used as donor particles. We monitored both the kinetics of the change of ohmic electric conductivity and the tangent of inclination angle of pre-relaxation VAC caused by adsorption of above gases and the dependence of stationary values of characteristics in question as functions of concentrations of active particles. [Pg.74]
