Identification of relevant research fields

Bacher (2004 55), Otto (2002 41), StOlzle (2002a 238) and Westhaus (2007 25) provide an extended consideration with supply chain control. A delimitation between logistics and siqiply chain control can be found in Karrer (2006 200). The state of research is presented by Arnold et al (2005), Gdpfert Neher (2002) and Otto StOlzle (2003). Bacher (2004), Kummer (2001) and Weber (2002) analyze and discuss different instruments of supply chain control. [Pg.21]

The term performance measurement refers to the selection and employment of metrics that are amalgamated into measuring systems in order to ensure the performance capability of the supply chain. In this context the notion measure, metric and key performance indicator (KPI) can be used synonymously (Erdmatm, 2002 92). Contributions to the selection and classification of metrics are provided by Beamon (1999), Chan Qi (2003), Gunasekaran et al (2001), Neely et al (1995), Reiner (2004) and Supply Chain Council (2006). Erdmann (2002) and Hieber (2002) discuss the setting up of measuring systems. [Pg.22]

An overview of the state of the art in supply chain performance measurement and suggestions for further research are presented by Busi Bititci (2006), De Toni Tonchia (2001), Neely et al (1995), Neely (2005) and Shepherd Gtlnter (2005). [Pg.22]
