Hydroxychloroquine Digoxin

Drugs that may affect hydroxychloroquine include cimetidine. Drugs that may be affected by hydroxychloroquine include beta blockers, cyclosporine, digoxin, magnesium salts, and mefloquine.

The pharmacokinetic interaction of quinidine with digoxin also occurs with quinine (280,281) and hydroxychloroquine (282). However, the effects of these drugs are smaller than those with quinidine. Quinine reduces the extrarenal clearance of digoxin, perhaps by altering its biliary secretion (283).

The pharmacokinetic interaction of quinidine with digoxin also occurs with quinine and hydroxychloroquine (49). 

Clinically important, potentially hazardous interactions with acetaminophen, acitretin, aspirin, chloroquine, digoxin, doxepin, fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K, hydroxychloroquine, isotretinoin, lovastatin, mycophenolate, raloxifene, sulfasalazine, sulfonylureas, tetracycline, tricyclic antidepressants, ursodeoxycholic acid, valproic acid... 

The levels of digoxin were found to be increased by over 70% in two elderly patients when they were given hydroxychloroquine. A similar increase has been seen with chloroquine in dogs.
