Of course. Hunter College is not the same as it was decades before, but my colleagues were wonderful. There is a very wide distribution of students there, and some are very motivated. But the focus at Hunter... 

When I was in high school, we had a very good chemistry teacher. We had two years of chemistry instead of the customary one year in most high schools. My best friend s father owned a couple of beauty salons and manufactured cosmetics. He told both of us that cosmetic chemistry was a great opportunity for women. By the time I went to college, it was Hunter College, I was convinced that I wanted to study chemistry.
