A type-1 forms, monofucosyl and difucosyl, were detected in //. pylori R-7A LPS, and it was shown that the type-1A blood-group was cormected to a type-2 LacNAc backbone, which is unique in histo-blood-group chemistiy. Serologically, mAb 3-3a also detected blood-group A in this LPS by ELISA.
