For the search of new more-thioresistant catalysts for low-temperature isomerisation of light paraffins, combinatorial techniques (high-throughput catalyst preparation and testing, and a GA) were used. After three iterative cycles (generations) catalysts have been found that were not only active and selective but also more resistant to deactivation by water and sulphur than the corresponding conventional ones. The results were reproducible in a pilot plant. [Pg.161]

Impregnation (see Chapter 4 for background) is the most frequently used technique in high-throughput preparation due to its apparent simplicity. Table 11.2 summarizes examples of high-throughput impregnation preparation of catalysts. [Pg.226]

Active heterogeneous catalysts have been obtained. Examples include titania-, vanadia-, silica-, and ceria-based catalysts. A survey of catalytic materials prepared in flames can be found in [20]. Recent advances include nanocrystalline Ti02 [24], one-step synthesis of noble metal Ti02 [25], Ru-doped cobalt-zirconia [26], vanadia-titania [27], Rh-Al203 for chemoselective hydrogenations [28], and alumina-supported noble metal particles via high-throughput experimentation [29]. [Pg.122]

The in situ preparation of a ruthenium-alkylidene catalyst for olefin metathesis is the first step for extending this high-throughput approach toward other catalytic transformations and opens up the way to the screening of azolium salt libraries for olefin metathesis reactions. ... [Pg.55]
