Hard limits

All limits imposed on the model are done using the rows and price inhibitions where possible. Bounds that would provide hard limits using columns are therefore not used. The limits method is used as follows. For equipment capacity, the limit is usually keyed to total feed or some more accurate parameter. So each flow (column) to the equipment draws units of capacity from a capacity tank (row) until the capacity is used up. [Pg.347]

Some of the most obvious examples of problems with gas and materials are frequently found in refining or petrochemical applications. One is the presence of hydrogen sulfide. Austenitic stainless steel, normally a premium material, cannot be used if chlorides are present due to intergranular corrosion and subsequent cracking problems. The material choice is influenced by hardness limitations as well as operating stresses that may limit certain perfonnance parameters. [Pg.447]

As indicated in para. GR-3.6, basic practices may require modification to suit service conditions, in some cases. In such cases, the engineering design may specify more stringent requirements, including heat treatment and hardness limitations for lesser thickness, or may specify less stringent heat treatment and hardness requirements, including none. [Pg.59]

Hardness limits after PWHT of completed weldments shall be per Table IP-10.5.7 or as required by the engineering design. [Pg.129]

These effects are hardly limited to mice they have been observed in Norway rats, hamsters, rabbits, voles, goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, and nonhuman primates. [Pg.366]

Note Limits are based upon bodi hard limits specified in the CDs and projected limits based upon demonstration. Units not represented on this plot are pending demonstration to set limits. ... [Pg.267]

The linear (quadratic) mass-scale parameters M,M are defined by 8c/c = E/M,(E/M)2, respectively. The question marks in the table indicate uncertain observational inputs. Hard limits are indicated by inequality signs. [Pg.572]

The perceptron network is the simplest of these three methods, in that its execution typically involves the simple multiplication of class-specific weight vectors to the analytical profile, followed by a hard limit function that assigns either 1 or 0 to the output (to indicate membership, or no membership, to a specific class). Such networks are best suited for applications where the classes are linearly separable in the classification space. [Pg.296]

Initially, these sealants exhibit a shore A hardness of 25 to 35, which increases slowly with time. A good solvent-based acrylic sealant does not exceed 55 shore A. A higher hardness limits the movement capability and may result in adhesive or cohesive failure of the sealant. [Pg.105]

The cross-linking density is the number of points of cross-links present per unit volume of material. If the cross-linking density is low, the network will be very open and therefore, the chain sections that join two consecutive cross-links are long and their flexibility is hardly limited, causing the material to exhibit elastic... [Pg.2023]
