More recent experiments using even higher shock wave pressures, up to around 40 GPa (produced by a hyper-velocity impact gun) show that the extremely short periods of time (only a few microseconds) for which the pressure is applied have a lower decomposing effect on the amino acids in aqueous solution, and in ice, than had been expected. The exact analysis of the products showed that small amounts of simple peptides were also formed. These results point to the complexity of questions on biogenesis problems. The Firearms Owners Protection Act of 1986 liberalized some of these requirements. Long guns (rifles and shotguns), but not handguns, could be sold across state lines. Guns and ammunition could be purchased through the mail subject to various restrictions. Gun dealers could sell firearms in a place other than a store (such as a flea market or a gun show). Record-keeping requirements were reduced. 

October 15 A U.S. district judge in Los Angeles overturns the county s ban on gun shows. He rules that state law preempts the county from legislating in this area, and that the county action poses an undue hardship to promoters who had sponsored the gun show for 22 years. 

June Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) introduce a bill that would require that all purchasers at gun shows go... 

March 2 A bill to shield gun manufacturers and dealers from lawsuits is overwhelmingly defeated in the Senate. The Republicans had withdrawn their support for the bill after Democrats had succeeded in adding amendments that would renew the ban on assault weapons, require child safety locks on all handguns, and require background checks on gun purchases at gun shows. 

October 4 The U.S. Supreme Court declines to review a 9th Circuit appeals court decision uploading the Alameda County, California, ban on gun shows at county fairgrounds. The lower court had said that neither the First nor the Second Amendment had been violated by the ban.

Reports that Alameda County supervisors approved an ordinance that prohibited people from possessing firearms on county property, in effect banning gun shows from the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

In the meantime, go to every gun show you can get to. There is the place to make contacts and to collect your arsenal. 

Last week I was at the Tulsa gun show and bought a 4 /2 foot camouflaged blowgun. It came with several yards of steel wire and 100 plastic beads. I found it amazingly easy to aim and use.
