Parallel to this, several investigations of antitumor activities in vitro of SOAz were performed both at the Department of Radiopathology of Groningen University (H. Lamberts) and at Toulouse University Hospital. These experiments provide the doses of SOAz which are able to give a complete inhibition of growth for tumor cells in culture. These doses are gathered in Table 14 which calls for the following remarks. [Pg.54]

The idea that Properties of Polymers would get a new life cycle pleased my father immensely therefore, although he was very much aware that he would not be capable to achieve such a huge task alone at the age of 86 years. So he decided to look for a co-author and consulted some of his professional friends. One of them, Dr. Ger Challa, former professor in polymer chemistry at Groningen University, suggested Dr. Ir. Klaas te Nijenhuis to him as a possible co-author. Te Nijenhuis was at that time associate-professor at Delft University of Technology, where he had specialized in polymers. [Pg.1019]
