Gray water

Ultrafiltration (UF) is used for the separation and concentration of macromolecules and colloidal particles. Ultrafiltration membranes usually have larger pore sizes than RO membranes, typically 1 to 100 nanometer (nm). Operating pressures are generally low (30-100 psig). Applications include electropaints, gray water, emulsions, oily wastes, and milk, cheese, and protein processing.

If you can), or that used for washing vegetables Is most suitable. It can simply be transported in a dishpan or siphoned from the bathtub, or—if permitted in your state—you can have a gray water recycling system installed In your house. 

Gray water, with the exception of that which has simply been used to wash vegetables, should not be used on plants for eating. Nor Is It suitable for use on acld-loving plants. Rotate gray water applications around the garden to avoid a potential buildup of harmful substances In the soil in any one spot. 

Bath or shower water is likely to contain bacteria, some of which could be potentially harmful to health, so this gray water should be used Immediately. Gray water filtering systems, which overcome this difficulty, are already available for domestic Installation in some countries, and are currently the focus of much research and development it is hoped that, in the not-too-distant future, every new home will incorporate such technology. 

The gray way Waste water can be diverted from a sink or bathtub before it disappears into the sewer or septic tank. It shouid not be stored iike rainwater because harmful bacteria could grow in it. Most states restrict the use of gray water, so seek advice before altering your plumbing.

The Trypan dyes are bisazo compounds distantly related to the sulfonamides. Trypan blue, a bluish-gray, water-soluble powder, was one of the first drugs to be used for the treatment of piroplasmo-sis and trypanosomiasis. Trypan blue is effective against B. caballi but not B. equi. In horses, a freshly prepared 1-2% solution of Trypan blue can be administered by slow i.v. injection at 2-3 mg/kg for premunition. Rapid i.v. administration of Trypan blue may result in shock. Subcutaneous administration of Trypan blue should be avoided because it causes skin sloughing. Trypan blue stains the mucous membranes and other tissues blue and is, therefore, not used commonly.

Lisenby. We re not going to do that, and we re putting in a waste-water treatment plant that will return gray water to use for irrigation, pumped using solar power. The resort will also eschew the use of chemical fertilizers that would quickly poison the reefs.
