Government documents: test standards

Properties, Specifications, and Test Methods Standard test methods are required to measure the properties of electroplated materials. Documents on plating specifications for many phases of the plating process are pubHshed by such organizations as the Federal government, the military, ASTM, ISO, SAE, etc. An excellent cross-index of these is available (37). 

To satisfy government agencies, instruments need to be adequately tested, calibrated, and/or standardized according to documented procedures. Current GLP standards state that equipment used in the generation, measurement, or assessment of data and equipment used for facility environmental control must be of appropriate design and capacity to function according to the protocol and shall be suitably located for operation, inspection, cleaning, and maintenance. 

Filter or the system s failure to meet the standards established in the Technical Requirements Document incorporated into the TRW contract. The next day, February 27, 1996, TRW suspended Schwartz from employment and, significantly, prevented [her] from accessing the tests she and other TRW employees had conducted on the Kalman Filter and Baseline Algorithms.When she made clear her intention to disclose those shortcomings to the government, she was fired. Shortly afterwards, Schwartz wrote a letter to TRW stating, If you will not notify the U.S. government, then I will. ...
