Table 3. Patterns of whole-plant water use for Psagi2 IPT and wild-type tobacco plants at 3.5 months after germination. Values are means for 4 plants per genotype 1 S.E. Soil evaporative water losses have been factored out. Different letters (A or B) within a row indicate significant differences between genotypes (t-test, p<0.05)... Table 3. Pyatt (1969c) found that massive sporulation is not invariably associated with high percentage germination values see Tables V and IX. The following data can be seen in Fig. 10 ... [Pg.138]

Lecanora campestris. Maximum germination values of 30% occurred in October, December, and January this is also the period of maximum spore discharge. [Pg.138]

Buellia canescens. Peak germination values of 30% occurred during the period of prolific discharge. [Pg.140]

Graphis spp. Prolific sporulation occurs from November to February and peak germination values (90%) occur in December and January. [Pg.140]

Note Values were obtained on approximately the 10th day after germination. Resistance values are the mean + SE of six seedlings and water potential values are from four seedlings. Kochia data adapted with permission from Elnhellig and Schon (29), Copyright 1982, the National Research Council of Canada. [Pg.192]

Numbers reported are a percent germination at the shown concentration (1 x 10M to the exponent shown). Many other values are shown in the referenced article (10). but the values recorded in this paper represent the highest activity at the lowest concentration. There is a great deal of variability in the results of germination tests as noted by many references in this text. See also ref.. 25 and 26. [Pg.453]

ASTM D 6400-04 (homopolymers) >60% of theoretical CO2 evolution after 180 days ASTM D 6400-04 (heteropolymers) >90% of theoretical CO2 evolution after 180 days <10% of the weight of the specimen shall fail to pass through a >2-mm fraction sieve Density, dry solids, volatile solids, salt content, pH, content of elemental N, P, Mg, Ca Rate of germination and biomass >90% of blind value of compost without polymer... [Pg.97]

In 1990, Halbauer [16] demonstrated the existence of a minimum value of pressure for spore-inactivation and in the same year Ludwig s group [17, 18] stressed that, in order to kill the spores, it seemed necessary to germinate them first. [Pg.627]
