Gears gear train

Sodium hydroxide with stearic acid they constitute the sodium greases, used in the lubrication of bearings under dry conditions and gear trains.

Characterized by high frequency response, accelerometers are compact and rugged, ideal for mounting on machinery cases, foundations, piping, etc. Applications to gear trains and rolling element bearings are typical. 

Components include items like pumps, pipes, valves, motors, gear trains, heat exchangers, relays, switches, fans, thermocouples, and diesel generators. 

Thinner oils, particularly those operating in relatively clean conditions, can lubricate some slow-running shielded gears. In that case, the teeth of the largest wheel can dip into a slush pan and carry oil to the rest of the gear train. 

The angular precision required is substantial. The most important factor is for the detector axis to track the specimen axis accurately and continnonsly, to better than an arc second for most semiconductor work, corresponding to a reciprocal space resolution of 5><10 A. Random errors in the tracking result in noise in reciprocal space, while systematic errors give rise to systematic distortions of the reciprocal space map. Artefacts due to backlash and eccentricity of gear trains are noticeable, and direct axis encoders are mnch preferred. Absolute... 

Functioning. The firming vane drives a high speed (coupling) shaft and, thru a reduction gear train, a slow speed shaft. 

The arming vane may drive a gear train which, after a definite interval, removes safety blocks or aligns the detonator with the next element in the explosive train. Standard arming vanes have blade pitches of 30°, 60°or 90°, but there are also "special" vane assemblies with different blade pitches (Ref 51a, p 5-38)... 

When the torpedo was ejected, it rushed thru the water and this spun a small turbine. This, in aim, operated a gear train that pushed the detonator into the booster car vity. The 450 yards of travel of the torpedo required for this operation gave the vacuum tubes within the mechanism time to warm up...

Other types of transducers used in process measurements include mechanical drivers such as gear trains and electrical drivers such as a differential transformer or a Hall effect (semiconductor-based) sensor. 

Personnel who may be called upon to use such devices risk bodily harm. Consequently, they should be properly trained in the use of plugging equipment, provided with proper personal protective gear, and trained in its use.
