The main advantage of wholesale climate control Hes in easy access to the objects, and the absence of differences in conditions between various spaces within the institution, eg, storage areas, conservation laboratories, and exhibition galleries. The actual values set for the rh are a matter of compromise metals, stone, and ceramics are best served by humidities as low as possible, but organic materials generally require higher values. Potassium superoxide is utilized primarily ia respiratory support equipment. The material is produced ia the United States (Gallery Chemical Company), France (Air Liquide), and China. [Pg.488]

Historically, potassium metal was used by the Mine Safety AppHances Company (parent company of Gallery Chemical Company) to develop potassium superoxide [12030-88-5] oxygen source in self-contained breathing equipment (see Oxygen-GENERATION systems). Greater understanding... [Pg.518]

Dlbor ine(6). This compound is manufactured by Gallery Chemical Co. ia Gallery, Peimsylvania. Laboratory-scale preparations are given ia equations 4—64 5 6, of which the last may be the most convenient method. Diborane is the most important starting material for all the other boron hydrides. [Pg.235]

Diborane(6), B2H. This spontaneously flammable gas is consumed primarily by the electronics industry as a dopant in the production of siHcon wafers for use in semiconductors. It is also used to produce amine boranes and the higher boron hydrides. Gallery Chemical Co., a division of Mine Safety AppHances Co., and Voltaix, Inc., are the main U.S. producers of this substance. Several hundred thousand pounds were manufactured worldwide in 1990. [Pg.253]

These assemblies may be further classified into single-or double-front assemblies. In double-front, they may be without a maintenance gallery as shown in Figure 13.7, or in a duplex design, with a maintenance gallery between the front and rear rows of panels to provide easy access at the back of the feeders, as shown in Figure 13.8. [Pg.337]

Figure 8 shows plotted versus P for all the carbons listed in Table 1 and for many others. There is a linear relationship betw cen g , and P which is well described by Q, =312(i-P) mAh/g. This implies that little or no lithium is able to intercalate between randomly stacked parallel layers [2]. Therefore we call the space between these adjacent randomly stacked graphene layers, blocked galleries . [Pg.356]

Also shown is the incorporation of anions and water in the galleries of the discharged material. On charging the anions are replaced by cations [77]. Figure 4. The smaller ion may intercalate faster into the graphite galleries. Reaction (5) may be the rate-determining step for the solvent co-intercalation process, and if so, molecules that form large and stable solvated lithium cations will have a smaller tendency for co-intercalation into the graphite. [Pg.435]
