Potassium superoxide is utilized primarily ia respiratory support equipment. The material is produced ia the United States (Gallery Chemical Company), France (Air Liquide), and China.

Dlbor ine(6). This compound is manufactured by Gallery Chemical Co. ia Gallery, Peimsylvania. Laboratory-scale preparations are given ia equations 4—64 5 6, of which the last may be the most convenient method. Diborane is the most important starting material for all the other boron hydrides. 

Diborane(6), B2H. This spontaneously flammable gas is consumed primarily by the electronics industry as a dopant in the production of siHcon wafers for use in semiconductors. It is also used to produce amine boranes and the higher boron hydrides. Gallery Chemical Co., a division of Mine Safety AppHances Co., and Voltaix, Inc., are the main U.S. producers of this substance. Several hundred thousand pounds were manufactured worldwide in 1990.

These assemblies may be further classified into single-or double-front assemblies. Figure 8 shows plotted versus P for all the carbons listed in Table 1 and for many others. There is a linear relationship betw cen g , and P which is well described by Q, =312(i-P) mAh/g. This implies that little or no lithium is able to intercalate between randomly stacked parallel layers [2]. Therefore we call the space between these adjacent randomly stacked graphene layers, blocked galleries .

The smaller ion may intercalate faster into the graphite galleries. Reaction (5) may be the rate-determining step for the solvent co-intercalation process, and if so, molecules that form large and stable solvated lithium cations will have a smaller tendency for co-intercalation into the graphite.
