Functions of Protein Tyrosine Phosphorylation

In this section we summarize studies with multiple cell types which suggest that functional links exist between enhanced protein kinase activity and diverse cellular mechanisms. We regret that not all relevant studies could be cited. When and where appropriate, we refer to the reader to pertinent reviews.
