From Anacyclus

Isol. from Anacyclus pyrethrum and Anthemis saguramica. Cryst. (pet. ether), [a] —56° (c, 0.25 in Et20). [Pg.391]

Polyunsaturated alkamides have been isolated from Aaronsohnia, Achillea, Anacyclus, and Echinacea species. Due to the structural similarity of alkamides to arachidonic acid, it is likely that alkamides act as competitive inhibitors of COX and LOX enzymes. At a concentration of 50 pg/ml, all twenty tested alkamides from Achillea and Echinacea species showed 21-... [Pg.683]

Pellitorine (1) has been isolated from several plants fruits of Piper sarmentosum [7], roots of Anacyclus pyrethrum [8] and seeds of Piper sylvaticum and presents insecticidal activity [10]. The Z-isomer (2), isolated from Piper guineense [11], has similar activity. Another component of the dried fruits of Piper sarmentosum, known in Thailand as Cha-plu , is sarmentine (3) which is used as an expectorant [7]. The corresponding piperidine derivative (4) is an Achillea amide [12]. [Pg.378]

Isol. from petals of T. erecta (African marigold) and Lepidophorum, Tetragonotheca and Anacyclus spp. [Pg.217]

Isol. from roots of Artemisia vulgaris, Anthemis nobilis and Anacyclus radiatus. Light-yellow oil. 338 mm (Etp). [Pg.301]

Four new polyenyne amides, three of which contain JV-methylisobutyl-amide structures, have been isolated from the roots of Anacyclus pyrethrum DC. Spectral data have established structures (30)—(33) for the new amides, and structure (30) was confirmed by an independent synthesis. The imsaturated amides (34)—(37) have been isolated previously from A, pyrethrum ... [Pg.217]
