Formulation support method

A supportive method that is orthogonal to the candidate method is also selected on these terms. The elution order of the supportive method is by definition significantly different from the candidate method. Ideally the method screening experiments will provide two sets of conditions, as shown in Figure 4. The utilization of the supportive method maximizes the probability that new unknown related compounds, which possibly co-elute in the candidate method, will be detected and taken into account when evaluating results for subsequent batches of DS or new DP formulations. [Pg.156]

Forced degradation/stress studies elucidate the inherent stability characteristics of the molecule under study and determine its degradative pathways. Forced degradation studies are needed to support method validation, determine product protection requirements, and guide formulation development. [Pg.192]

A variety of national and international guidelines have been formulated to support method validation. Requirements for the components of a method validation may vary between countries depending on the level of approval that has been obtained. For example, in the United States, Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved devices must meet Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLlAs) requirements for method validation, if they are deemed of medium or high complexity laboratories operating these tests are subject to inspection and must meet the CLl A quality system standards [12]. However, some POCT devices deemed of low complexity by the FDA may be CLlA-waived such that areas operating only these low complexity tests must simply follow the manufacturer s instructions for those tests to meet CLl A requirements. However, it is not always clear if CLlA-waived devices meet the quahty specification for the analytes being measured. [Pg.30]

Triorganotin compounds have also been used experimentally in controUed-release formulations to control the infective snail vector in the debiHtating tropical disease schistosomiasis (biHiarzia) and to control mosquitoes in stagnant ponds (103). As yet, the large-scale use of such methods has Htfle support in the host third world countries where these problems are most severe. Tributyltin chloride has been used to confer rodent-repeUent properties on wine and cable coatings (104). [Pg.71]

Ultraviolet spectral data, including the similarity between 9-aminoacridine and 9-aminoanthracene, led Craig and ShorU to conclude that all the aminoacridines exist as such. The infrared solution spectra of the aminoacridines and aminoquinolines support the amino formulation similarly, infrared and ultraviolet spectral data have demonstrated that aminoisoquinolines also exist as such." The pX method was used to show that the value of piCj- for 9-aminophenanthridine (236, R =H) is 2.8, and ultraviolet spectral data are consistent with this conclusion when the fact that the dimethylamino derivative (236, R — Me) exhibits considerable steric hindrance to planarity is taken into consideration. ... [Pg.409]

The deoxyuric acids were early formulated with a cyclic triple bond (138) but recent chemical e ddcnce and ultraviolet spectral data have led to their reformulation as 139 or 140. Although the results of the early investigations of the structure of uric acid using chemical methods were interpreted in favor of structure 141i5s-i6g structure was considered to be supported by its ultraviolet spec-... [Pg.58]

The introduced methods can be used in a value chain planning model. A model - derived from the Latin word modellus meaning measure - is a focused representation of reality focusing on problem-relevant aspects and their functional relations (Teich 2002, p. 219). The model applies reference, optimization, simulation and/or analysis and visualization methods to support decisions based on formulated requirements. [Pg.73]
