Fork fabrication

Urethane rubbers have found steadily increasing use for oil seals, shoe soles and heels, fork-lift truck tyres, diaphragms, chute linings and a variety of mechanical applications. Fabric coatings resistant to dry cleaning are a recent development. In many of these applications high elasticity is not an important prerequisite so that the polyurethane rubbers must be compared not only with other rubbers but also with a variety of thermoplastics. 

Considering the close tolerance that all tooling is manufacturing to, we must handle it correctly to maintain that tolerance. Knives use steel, wood-lined boxes with partitions between knives. Interior wood should be raised above all steel to prevent any knife contact with the metal box. Boxes should have steel lids and provision for fork or crane lift. Carriers can be fabricated so that knives can be installed in boxes and wheeled to the setup area. 

Maximum efficiency, reliability, and safety require that the use of fork extensions be guided by principles of proper application, design, fabrication, use, inspection, and maintenance. The user must notify a responsible safety officer before purchasing extensions or having them fabricated. 

One of these rings rests, by three small feet, on the piece of fabric which covers the bottom of the vessel ( 9), and the other is fixed, by the tail of its fork, to the bottom of the cylindrical stem.
