Food waste processing sector

Concentrating on separations, which are common in food and drink processing and, of course, waste treatment Muralidhara (2006), highlighted the removal of impurities, producing new products, and nunimising and recovering waste for rettse as opportunities for PI in the sector. 

Biodegradable films are also gaining interest in the food packaging sector with the objective to reduce the adverse pressure on the environment. Biodegradable polymers are generally made from cellnlose and starches. The raw materials can be agricnltural feed stocks, animal sonrces, food processing wastes or microbial sonrces.
