Windows floating

Polyacetals and other engineering plastics cost about half that of cast metals, and are therefore used as replacements for cast metal-intense applications. They have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for contact with foods. Some of the uses of molded polyacetals are as valves, faucets, bearings, appliance parts, springs, automotive window brackets, hose clamps, hinges, video cassettes, tea kettles, chains, flush toilet float arms, gears, shower heads, pipe fittings, pasta machines, desktop staplers, and air gun parts. 

We developed an experimental procedure that can be applied to highly viscous polymer blends. In the DSM micro-extruder [6], polymers are blended in the melt, at the desired temperature and pressure, and injected into a small capillary tube which is immediately sealed with a floating plug. This capillary cell is placed in a small window autoclave and a laser beam enters the capillary cell at the lens-shaped bottom end. The intensity of the light scattered by the polymer system is recorded at two scattering angles (as a function of pressure and temperature). 

It is made by floating a layer of molten glass over molten tin. Plate glass has a very smooth surface. It is used in shop windows and doors. 

As the crusher was being pulled through the window another machine removed the now-unnecessary ornament. Now, amazingly, constriction machines embedded in the flexible walls of processing room 1 cause a section of the wall to close in on and surround some of the machines, forming a new, free-floating subroom. The remainder of the wall that was left behind smoothly seals itself. 

I led the way to the green chairs, and the nobility floated behind me with the grace of galleons crossing the lagoon. There are always two chairs opposite the red one and if the Sanudos assumed that they had been arranged especially for them, that was their own mistake, not misinformation from me. As soon as all three principals were settled, I returned to the desk by the windows to watch faces and take notes if needed. The Maestro had his back to the light, not by accident.

Before floating row covers became popular, innovative backyard gardeners built their own barriers from window-screening attached to wooden frames. The list of variations for homemade barriers is limited only by your imagination and skills. Well-constructed and sturdy homemade covers should last for many years. 

Flat-surfaced window glass may be manufactured by floating molten glass on top of molten tin.
