Unified field model discussion

W.J. Popendorf, Advances in the unified field model for reentry hazards, in Dermal Exposure Related to Pesticide Use Discussion of Risk Assessment, ed. R.C. Honeycutt, G. Zweig, and N.N. Ragsdale, ACS Symposium Series 273, American Chemical Society, Washington, DC, pp. 323-340 (1985). [Pg.1025]

The concepts comprised within the "unified field model" are embodied in Figure 1. The 1982 report C2) discussed each of the measurable conditions of residue, dose, and response (the boxes in Figure 1) and the processes or mechanisms (arrows) which connect them. The unified field model went beyond a concept to a sequence... [Pg.323]

This section will contain less analytical and more straightforward presentation of current experimental and theoretical results and ideas. The field is developing extremely rapidly and fairly little has been done so far in terms of quantitative calculations on real systems. Most of the theoretical investigations have been in the form of one-electron calculations for molecules and clusters, or many-body calculations on model systems. We shall discuss a number of cases where hole spectra in extended systems are strongly influenced or, in certain regions, even dominated by atomic-like, local excitations, with the particular aim of presenting an overview of unifying aspects. [Pg.91]

Fig. 3.29(a) shows that the results of the unified model (based on shallow traps and with PEE) agree well with the 296 K J-V curve measured by Blom et al. [57], Blom et al. [57] found excellent agreement with the theory that does not assume the presence of traps but uses the field dependent mobility. The above discussion shows that the model with shallow traps plus PFE and the field dependent mobility model are equivalent. [Pg.68]
