Fenamiphos sulfoxide

CASRN 22224-92-6 molecular formula C13H22NO3PS FW 303.40 Soil. Oxidizes in soil to the fenamiphos sulfone and fenamiphos sulfoxide (Lee et al., 1986). Fenamiphos rapidly degraded in Arredondo soil to fenamiphos sulfone and the corresponding phenol. The half-life in this soil is 38-67 d (Ou and Rao, 1986). 

Plants. Degradation is by thiooxidation and hydrolysis. The major metabolites are fenamiphos sulphoxide and fenamiphos sulfone Soil. Degradable on soil surfaces. Duration of activity in soil is c. 4 months. Compound with low mobility. Soil DTJ0 (aerobic and anaerobic) several weeks, The major degradation products are fenamiphos sulfoxide and fenamiphos sulfone and their phenols... 

Particle beam using El and Cl Ionization was useful for the analysis of several thermally labile pesticides such as aldicarb sulfone and fenamiphos sulfoxide, resulted in molecular ions and structurally relevant fragment ions (Figures 12 and 13). The thermospray spectra for these two pesticides are also presented for comparison. The thermospray spectra consisted of only [M+H] and [M+NH4]+ ions.

The phenyl sulfone, sulfoxide, and sulfonic acid metabolites of fenamiphos were extracted ftom soil and analyzed using a C g column (A = 240nm) and a 0/100 -> 50/50 (at 30 min) 100/0 (at 50 min) acetonitrile/water (1 g/L acetic acid) gradient [971]. Detection limits of lOppb and a linear concentration curve up to 500 ppb were reported.
