Factor Normal running load

Kany properties of the catalyst affect the coking rate, including composition metal loading, surface area altimina type, chloride level, and the number of regenerations, A fev limited runs were made to compare coking differences of the three commercial catalyst composition types commonly used, namely, Pt/Al Oj. Ft-Re/Al203, and Ft-Sn/Al203. Results are shown in Table 1 with the factors normalized to the standard Ft catalyst,... [Pg.158]

The most important characteristic of an X-ray source is the radiation flux density that it can generate. This is a function of the power at which it is operated and the size of the focal spot produced on the anode. The ratio of these factors is the specific loading of the source. A standard sealed, broad focus tube is normally operated with a cathode-to-anode voltage difference of 40 kV, an emission current of 20 mA, and a focal spot size of 1 x 10 mm, or a specific load of 80 w/mm2. Rotating anode machines can be run at 50kV and 50 mA, with a focal spot size of 0.2 x 1.0 mm. The specific loading under these conditions is 1.25 x 104 w/mm2. [Pg.154]

As is normal in such cases, as soon as a result appears promising, the demands increase Thus the 650 kg/h achieved were not acceptably high, and since the model we had built was a 1 6 scale model and the capacity required in full scale was 24 t/h, we were asked to prove that the unit would perform as well with 4 t/h. The scale factor of 1 6 was based on the cross section of the upper elutriator tube, in which velocities similar to those in the full scale version were maintained. Since we had not really thought of how the dispersing device was to be scaled up (loading ratio , residence time , mean transport distance ), all we could do was again set the system up and run it ... [Pg.756]
