The extruder components can be cleaned by first rinsing with ethanol (or leaving the extruder parts in warm 70% ethanol for few hours) and then rinsing with distilled water. 

There are many different kinds of dessert product and processes to produce them, so manufacturing lines must be flexible. Desserts usually contain more than one flavour of ice cream and/or water ice, so they are commonly made by co-extrusion of the components. The co-extruded components e.g. ice cream and sauce) should have similar viscosities so that their flows can be balanced and the correct product shape produced. If necessary, the viscosity of a sauce can be increased by first passing it through a factory freezer. A closed dasher is used as the throughput is very low and a short residence time is required. This also has the advantage that the sauce then has approximately the same...

The microstructure of polybutadiene can have a significant effect on the elastomer s performance. For example, lithium-catalyzed solution polymers, containing approximately 36% cts-butadiene, tend to process easily in tire manufacturing plants whereas high cis-polymers produced with titanium or nickel catalysts (cis-content >90%) tend to be more difficult to process in tire factories (Table 4.2). For example, gage control of extruded components may be more difficult though such compounded polymers have been reported to show better abrasion resistance when compared to the low cis-polymer [2]. 

Many fabricated materials made from or based on silicones are also available for the construction of electronic equipment, including silicone resin bonded glasscloth laminates, insulating sleeving cables or wiring and a wide variety of moulded or extruded components.
