Experimental design calibration curve

To evaluate the quantitation capabilities of the experimental design, univariate calibration curves were constructed at 770 nm for four tested vapors as shown in Fig. 4.13. Upon exposure to the highest tested concentration of DCM and toluene... [Pg.87]

Cyclone Pressure Drop, Typical cyclone pressure drops range from 250 to 2000 Pa. Most data are reported for clean air flowing through the cyclone and these data are conservative for design purposes. Many investigators have unsuccessfully attempted to relate pressure drops to inlet and outlet dimension ratios. Manufacturers calibration curves or experimental measurements on cyclones of similar dimension should be used where possible. If a reliable experimental measurement is available, however, the pressure drop at other conditions can be estimated by first evaluating the constant 2[Pg.397]

In large samples, the y-ray count rate of a PGNAA system is a multivariable function of the elemental dry composition, density, water, contents, and thickness of the material. The experimental calibration curves require tremendous laboratory work using a large number of standards with well-known compositions. The Monte Carlo simulation code MCNP helps to reduce the experimental standards as described by Oliveira et al. (1997) in their attempt to optimize the PGNAA instrument design for cement raw materials. [Pg.260]
