Exotic derivatives

The latter reaction set up the possibility of making such exotic derivatives as 2,3-anhydro-4-chloro-talo-sucrose (Scheme 13) by a four-step sequence involving O-mesylation of 3,6,l, 3, 4, 6 -hexa-0-pivaloylsucrose, high-temperature LiCl displacement, O-depivaloylation with concomitant epoxide formation, and finally O-acetylation. 

Other reactions typical of double-bond character include the formation of cycloaddition products (exemplifled schematically in equation 13.12), and some have been developed to prepare a range of rather exotic derivatives.

It can be used for pricing some types of path-dependent instruments, such as barrier options or other exotic derivatives.

Diaryl- (85), diaroyl- (71), bis(4-substituted-l,2,5-oxadiazol-3-yl)furoxans (104) as well as exotic l,2,2,5,5-pentamethyl-4-(nitromethyl)-3-imidazoline 3-oxide-derived furoxan 22 (105) were obtained via corresponding nitrile oxides. 

Previous fluid Inclusion and isotopic (Sri, 5 0, 5D, 5 C, 5 S Kontak et al. 1996 Kontak Kerrich 1997) studies indicate that fluids were mixed aqueous-carbonic (Xco2 = 0.1-0.3), exotic to the Meguma Group, and record variable amounts of fluld rock Interaction. Whereas C and S are dominantly wall rock derived, O isotopic data indicate an external reservoir with subsequent modification. 

The chapter following deals with Man s Vehicles. After listing their exotic nomenclature— the names used in Theosophical literature for the higher planes are derived from Sanskrit, for in Western philosophy we have as yet [1902] no terms for these worlds —Leadbeater enumerates the colorful, painterly effects of the fourth plane, or fourth dimension. Again, he relates such esoteric and fourth-dimensional phenomena directly to the spiritual operations of Occult Chemistry ... 

I want to make it easy for you to experiment with the exotic properties of hyperspheres by giving you the equation for their volume.
