Procedure exiting from

If a molecule is strained, atoms may not be ver y close to the minimum of their individual potential energy wells when the best compromise geometry is reached. In such a case, the geometric criterion does not provide an exit from the loop. Programs are usually written so that they can automatically switch from a geometric minimization criterion to an energy minimization procedure. [Pg.100]

Mounting electrodes in a bioreactor is costly, and there is an additional contamination risk for sensitive cell cultures. Some other sensors of prac ticai importance are those for dissolved oxygen and for dissolved carbon dioxide. The analysis of gas exiting from a bioreactor with an infrared unit that detects carbon dioxide or a paramagnetic unit that detects oxygen (after carbon dioxide removal) has been replaced by mass spec trophotometry. Gas chromatographic procedures coupled with a mass spectrophotometer will detect 1 the volatile components. [Pg.2148]

From (a) and (b), the stagnation pressure and temperature can thus be calculated at exit from the cooled row they can then be used to study the flow through the next (rotor) row. From there on a similar procedure may be followed (for a rotating row the relative (7 o)r, i and (po)k replace the absolute stagnation properties). In this way, the work output from the complete cooled turbine can be obtained for use within the cycle calculation, given the cooling quantities ip. [Pg.60]

A multipass marching solution is used in COBRA IIIC (Rowe, 1973). The inlet flow division between subchannels is fixed as a boundary condition, and an iterated solution is obtained to satisfy the other boundary solution of zero pressure differential at the channel exit. The procedure is to guess a pattern of subchannel boundary pressure differentials for all mesh points simultaneously, and from this to compute, without further iteration, the corresponding pattern of crossflows using a marching technique up the channel. The pressure differentials are updated during each pass, and the overall channel iteration is completed when the fractional change in subchannel flows is less than a preset amount. [Pg.513]

Solid-phase micro-extraction (SPME), a technique commercialised by Supelco, borrows from column extraction and headspace analysis. In this procedure, a small fibre fixed to the end of a syringe plunger can either exit from or be retracted into... [Pg.381]

Use the Exit Sub or Exit Function to exit from a procedure. Again, the Exit statement will normally be located within an If statement. [Pg.269]

Other appropriate signs and instructions must be posted at the entrance to, and exit from a regulated area to inform employees of procedures to follow in entering and leaving the regulated area. [Pg.388]

A procedure must define the conditions on entry to and exit from quarantine. [Pg.382]

The volumetric rate of displacement equal to 0.0111 cm /sec was assumed in accordance with the theory of approximate modeling. Each experiment was concluded after injection of four pore-volumes of water through the porous medium. During the entire time in which water was being displaced from the bed, the expelled liquid was being collected on exit from the bed. This procedure made it possible to determine the following three displacement coefficients in succession the water-less, the current, and the terminal. The results are given in Table 8. [Pg.24]

If an emergency vehicle must enter TA-V as part of an emergency situation, the vehicle is surveyed for radioactive material prior to its exit from the area. (This procedure is identical for all vehicles departing TA-V regardless of whether or not an emergency situation exists.)... [Pg.351]

In order to ensure consistency between all the procedures within the full set of EOPs it is recommended that a writer s guide be prepared to more fully describe the format and content of the procedures, transitions between the procedures and the exit from the EOPs. The writer s guide, along with a user s guide, should be developed prior to preparing the set of EOPs. These two documents will describe the scope of the EOPs and establish the overall guidelines for the preparation and maintenance of the EOPs. [Pg.12]
