Erasable programmable read-only memory

ROM, PROM, EPROM is Read Only Memory, Programmable Read Only Memory and Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory and are used for rapid sourees of information that seldom, or never need to be modified. 

To minimize the risk of data loss because of power failure or other reasons, the Mossbauer data are copied to a nonvolatile EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) every 9 minutes (software selectable). As the size of the EEPROM is smaller than the SRAM, the EEPROM can accumulate only up to ten Mossbauer spectra as a subset of the data from the SRAM. These spectra are obtained from the SRAM according to a pre-defined summation strategy.

Most modern computers store their BIOS on an EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory). An EPROM can be updated using flash software. In many ways, this method is more dangerous than the old-fashioned method of replacing a chip. Since the flash software overwrites the information on the chip, if you make a mistake, your computer can become unbootable. You will want to follow the instructions very carefully ... 

EEPROM Acronym for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory. A memory chip that maintains its contents without electrical power, and whose contents can be erased and reprogrammed either within the computer or from an external source. EEPROMs are used where the application requires stable storage without power but may have to be reprogrammed. 

The amplifier (5) boosts the signal, eliminates temperature coefficients, and adjusts the offset. The low pass filter (6) limits the bandwidth. The drive circuit is a closed loop system to achieve a stable drive oscillation. It consists of a structure (not drawn) that detects the oscillation movement of the drive of the yaw-rate sensor element, a control unit (2), and an actuator (not drawn). The start circuit (9) initiates the drive oscillation at power on. The block (8) generates all necessary adjustment signals and includes the logic circuit for the trim and an EPROM (erasable programmable read-only memory) for the storage of the trim data.

Flash memory is read and write memory, and data memories do not disappear even through loss of electric power. Therefore, flash memories are widely applied to USB memory, SD memory card, smart media, and compact flash. Flash memory is also applied to hard disks for computers. NAND flash is NAND (NOT AND gate) flash memory. EEPROM is electrically erasable programmable read-only memory, which is called flashed ROM.

The primary cause of the incident was found to be the sudden release of the two quadruple joints was caused by a failure in conceptual design of the control system software. The program relevant to the initializing instruction was pre-loaded in the erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) of the programmable logic controller (PLC) with the instruction to open all clamps when re-initialized.
