Enzyme roles

Oxidative substitutions at ring junction positions in various tetrahydro-5-deaza-pterins (79JA6068) and -flavins (77JA6721) have been studied, e.g. to give (13), and the oxidation-reduction reactions of 5-deazaflavins (e.g. 78CL1177, 80CPB3514) across the 1,5-positions, e.g. (19) (20), are involved in their co-enzymic role in enzymic oxidations (see Section...

Enzymatic systems can greatly contribute to the correlation of the degree of structural correlations. In this model the enzyme role is as follows active parts of its structure (fragments, atoms, ions) the PE-parameter value equal to the PE-parameter of the reaction final product. I.e. the enzyme is structurally tuned via I13B to obtaining the reaction final product, but will not join it due to imperfect isomorphism of its structure (in accordance with III).

Kusai and Yamanaka (387) have proposed an ingenious scheme, shown in Fig. 31, which ascribes a role to all three Chlorobium cytochromes. In this, flavin-C663 is also given an enzymic role as the reductase catalyzing the removal of electrons from sulfide and their transfer to csss and from there into the photocenter. This reaction has been amply demonstrated...

RNA carries out its enzymic roles with many fewer chemical resources than its protein counterparts it has a ribose-phosphate backbone (Chap. 3), with four rather similar heterocyclic nucleobases, plus attendant water molecules and metal ions. They carry out the water-elimination condensation reactions in splicing certain classes of introns (Chap. 7) and in the site-specific cleavage and ligation of small replicating RNA circles in some species of organism.
