Scientist and design engineers working on programs of empirical research must use the concepts of electrode kinetics, if meaningful evaluation and improvement of the performance of fuel cells are the principal design goals. The theory of electrode kinetics reveals that the electrons will stabilize with positive ions in the electrolyte under the equilibrium condition.
