Effect on electrical resistivity

Thermal stability is highly important to ensure high efficiency and long life of the TEC unit with graded structure. The measurements of electrical resistivity after heat treatment were illustrated in Figure 7 as well. These results Identified that there were no evidently effects on electrical resistivity after a 1-day thermal exposure at 900 °C.

The greater the degree of crystallinity the less the water absorption and hence the less will be the effect of humidity on the properties of the polymer. The degree of crystallinity also has an effect on electrical and mechanical properties. In particular high crystallinity leads to high abrasion resistance.

Other Physical Properties. In addition to its important effect on the strength of wood, moisture also affects wood s other physical properties. Moisture s effect on electrical properties was described in the section on Electrical Resistance Moisture Meters (p. 130). Other properties such as specific gravity and thermal properties are discussed here. 

Experimentally the effect of temperature on electrical resistance may be established with comparative ease and accuracy. To some extent, also, this law has a universal character, being dependent on few parameters. Hence it seems particularly well suited to the testing of the theories, at least so far as the mutual action of electrons and the lattice of atomic ions is concerned. On this occasion, therefore, I shall chiefly confine myself to the problem of the effect of temperature on the electrical resistancewith some remarks about the thermal resistance.

The use of electrocoat or e-coat paints and primers is another technology that found extensive use in the 1980s. Electrocoated paint is applied on the part to be coated in a paint bath, and electrical current is applied. This method enables painting of the most intricate parts. The electrocoated automobiles were more corrosion resistant. The surface rust was approximately three times higher, and the number of perforations were also higher in vehicles that were treated in the standard conventional manner. Some of these differences may be because of zinc coating on the steel and phosphatizing. However, electroplated paint systems had a noticeable effect on corrosion resistance.
