Editing tab

The Editing tab sets some of the more general features of how ACID works. There are only three simple options  

The CD tab is used to configure both the burning of ACID projects to CD-R and the extraction (ripping) of tracks from audio CDs to media files on your hard disk.

Under the View tab (i.e., under Tools => Options => View) you can toggle the appearance of spreadsheet Gridlines on or off. Under the Edit tab (Tools => Options => Edit) you can (de) select to Edit directly in the cell, which allows you to edit in the cell (after double-clicking) rather than in the formula bar. Here you can also Allow cell drag and drop or disallow it, and Move selection after enter in case you prefer the cursor to stay put or move sideways rather than move down one cell after each data, text, or formula entry. 

After the marker is placed, we must tell Probe to collect data only at the markers. Select PSpice and then Edit Simulation Profile from the menus, and then select the Data Collection tab. Select the options as shown ...

When you create a new workbook, the sheet tabs have the names Sheetl, Sheet2, etc. To rename a sheet, double-click on the sheet tab. The sheehicime will be highlighted and you can enter a more descriptive name, as, for example, in Figure 1-2. Click outside the sheet tab to exit from edit mode. 

To copy a chart, select the chart by clicking in the chart border. Then choose Copy from the Edit menu. A marquee will appear around the chart. Activate the Word document, position the cursor where you want the chart to appear in the document, then choose Paste. The appearance of the copied chart will be a little different, depending on whether you copied a chart in a chart sheet or an embedded chart. Most noticeably, the copy of an embedded chart will have a border to remove the border from the chart before copying, choose Object... from the Format menu, then choose the Patterns tab, then Border = None. 

To move from record to record, use either the Find Prev and Find Next buttons, the up and down arrow keys, or the scroll bar. The first field of each record is highlighted. Move forward from field to field within a record by using the TAB key. You can also select a field for editing by clicking the mouse pointer in it. 

Edit characters in a text box in the usual way. Once a change has been made in a field, the Restore button is enabled you can use it to restore the original data if you spot an error in the new text. To edit a single field in all records, tab forward to that field or click the mouse pointer in it then use the up or down arrow keys to move to the same field in other records. 

As described in Chapter 5, the Data Labels tab in the Format Data Series dialog box allows you to add data labels to a chart (to each data point in an XY chart, or to each column in a column chart, for example). But only the x values or the y values can be used as labels. You d probably like to use some other text as data labels. You can do this manually, by adding the data labels, then manually editing each one to enter the text you want. A macro will make the task much easier. 

One way to remove, or strip, the parenthetical uncertainties in the table of atomic masses is to use Excel s Find/Replace function. We will illustrate this approach with a few of the entries. Copy the atomic masses from hydrogen through copper, including the uncertainties, to column F, cells F2 F30. Now highlight cells F2 F30. Go to the Edit menu and choose Replace. This should bring up the Find and Replace window shown below. Make sure the Replace tab is selected as shown. 

Today, apparatus having standard ground-glass joints is used almost exclusively in every organic laboratory and hence in every distillation laboratory (Tab. 1). An encyclopaedia of chemical laboratory apparatus including the G.D.R. standards has been edited by Telle [3]. 

Drag and drop the two molecule types for which you want to define interactions into the left and right white regions of the molecule interaction field o the molecule tab. Then, using the mouse, draw a connection between the molecular binding sites that will mediate the interaction between the two molecule types (Fig. 2a). Click on the small square in the middle of the line to set/edit the interaction rates (association and dissociation rate) (Fig. 2b). 

To name a worksheet, double-click the sheet tab to be named, type the desired name, and hit the enter key. bu can use the Edit or the Insert menu to delete or insert a worksheet. You can move (or change the position of) a worksheet in the workbook by selecting the sheet tab and while holding down the left button on the mouse move the tab to the desired position among other sheets. 

If for any reason you want to modify or edit the chart, dick the Gian menu and choose die Gian Options. Now you can modify or edit the dde, axis labels, spacing among the grid-lines, l end, and so on. Just choose the pertinent tab and proceed.
