Hopefully you will be able to answer the first several easier questions in much less than a minute. This will give you extra time to spend on the more difficult questions at the end of the section. But remember Easier questions are worth the same as the more difficult questions. It s better to get all the easier questions right and all the more difficult questions wrong than to get a lot of the easier questions wrong because you were too worried about the more difficult questions.

Who knows As you go through the test, you may even stumble across some relevant information to help you answer those tough questions. 

Skip Around If You Can The questions on some tests start easy and get progressively harder, while other tests mix easy and hard questions. You may want to skip over difficult questions and come back to them later, after you ve answered all the easier questions. This will guarantee more points toward your final score. In fact, other questions may help you answer the ones you skipped. Just be sure you fill in the correct ovals on your answer sheet. 

Remember, on the multiple-choice section you have about 1 minute and 12 seconds per question. But there will be some questions that won t take that long. Using less time on the easier questions will give you more time for the harder ones. Learning to pace yourself is extremely important. Here are some pacing guidelines you should remember ... 

It s hard to let go, but sometimes you have to. Don t spend too much time on any one question before you ve tried all the questions in a section. There may be questions later on in the test that you can answer easily, and you don t want to lose points just because you didn t get to them. Remember, all of the questions are worth the same amount of points—you won t get extra points for solving that really difficult problem. If you get stuck, it s better to bail and try for an easier question.
