Drying rooms

Drying Rooms For drydng materials that cannot be agitated, the drying room, and tray drier (which there are many varieties) can be used. In the former, the material may be spread on pans and these stacked in a rack, which leaves a space between the trays for air circulation. The room has loosely fitted side walls of plaster board, or similar material, or even canvas, and contains a steam radiator. The natural circulation of the warm air removes the moisture the drying period is generally long, for example, one or two days. 

The cathode is FeSj and the anode is a Li(Si) alloy. These materials were also selected as materials that have been carefully studied in thermal battery technology. All materials in the cell are moisture sensitive and were handled under dry room conditions available at the author s laboratory.

The anodes of these two graphite samples were fabricated from a slurried mixture which contains 92 wt% of active graphite powder and 8wt% polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) polymer binder (Kureha 9130) and using 1 -methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) (Aldrich, >99%) as the solvent. After getting the homogenous slurry, the electrode laminates were coated on Cu current collector foil using a doctor blade in the laboratory-made laminate-coater. The laminates were then dried first at 75°C in air for 3 hrs and then the final heat treatment was carried out in a vacuum oven at 75 C for 10 hrs. Finally, the laminates were calendared to about 35% porosity in a dry room.

After the drying process, cold air is admitted for a short time into the drying room to cool the lead azide to ambient temperature and bring its humidity to that prevailing at room temperature. 

The extruded strips, cords or tubes are forced from the die directly on to a linen conveyer or other receptacle from which they are passed to the drying room.

The sheets of proplnt are air dried in separate drying rooms which are so constructed that condensation entrapment of NG is prevented. Air supplied to the drying rooms is not recirculated (Ref 6)... 

The normal free, i. e., not chemically bound water content of bricks in dry rooms (20°C) is in the area of one volume percent, but it can rise up to 4% at a relative humidity of over 90%.395... 

The Li battery industry uses dry rooms in which the humidity is maintained at around 1-2%. For certain applications, especially for mass production, dry rooms can provide an appropriate atmosphere. However, for most of the rigorous studies with nonaqueous solutions, dry rooms are definitely inadequate. 

As may be seen from the description and the annexed plan, the left wing of the structure was planned for inmate delousing, and provided for the following procedure undressing room with acceptance of clothing - vestibule - shower room - drying room - vestibule - disinfestation.
