Thus, it can be concluded that the correct design of an ultrasonic system (generator, transducer and application systems) represents a key step towards the efficient application of ultrasound, and generates significant effects in drying. D) 1-p-Chlorobenzoyl-2-Methyl-S-Methoxy-3-lndolylacetic Acid A mixture of 1 g ester and 0.1 g powdered porous plate is heated in an oil bath at 210°C with magnetic stirring under a blanket of nitrogen for about 2 hours. No intensification of color (pale yellow) occurs during this period. After cooling under nitrogen, the product is dissolved in benzene and ether, filtered, and extracted with bicarbonate. The aqueous solution is filtered with suction to remove ether, neutralized with acetic acid, and then acidified weakly with dilute hydrochloric acid. The crude product (0.4 g, 47%) is recrystallized from aqueous ethanol and dried in vacuo at 65°C MP 151°C. 

Do not use coatings, such as poly L-lysine or chrom-alum, since the charge will interfere with the silver intensification reaction. For paraffin sections, remove paraffin with xylene and rehydrate to water. Penetration of reagents into plastic-embedded sections may be improved by treating the sections for 15 min with xylene and rehydrating to water. Following rehydration, the sections should not be allowed to dry. 

The concept of process intensification does not need to apply to the whole of an API production process. There is merit in looking at hybrid reaction schemes, which retain the benefits of, or capital investment in, batch equipment but use continuous processes for the generation of hazardous intermediates [17] or for certain unit processes. Of these, hydrogenation [18], filtration [19], phase separation [20], crystallisation [21] and drying [22] are good examples.

A dry, untoned print that looks perfect might be too dark after iron blue-toning because of the intensification effect. If in doubt, make a slightly lighter print with clear highlights. 

When a satisfactory degree of intensification is reached, wash the negative for 10 to 20 minutes and dry as usual.
