Drive train differential

For the injection, a modified Ruska pump was used. The body of the pump was manufactured by the Ruska Instrument Company of Houston, Texas. It is equipped with an electronically controlled drive train developed at New Mexico State University. It can be controlled to run in either a constant rate, a constant pressure or a constant differential pressure mode. 

The chemist s role is not limited to materials and analysis of designed components. The role also extends into power train applications and processes. Power train, refers to the set of components that generate power (engine) and deliver power (transmission, differential, and drive shafts) to the road. The combustion process, lubrication of components, and cooling requirements—along with ways to improve these processes and requirements—must be understood. The automotive chemist s tools and training allow for these challenges to be met properly as we head into the future. 

As companies answer these questions and build their supply chain strategies, it is time to look forward. We can learn from history, but need to forge the path forward to drive differentiation. Before we can run the race, we must train. This training requires behavioral modification in three areas building supply chain agility, learning how to listen and learn, and valuing process innovation. 

The marine environment differentiates offshore work from that done onshore. Work is done on the water, in or with a boat under the water in diving operations or above the water, in or on a wind turbine. Weather is a factor for land-based work, but in the offshore environment, the weather and sea state (wind speed, wave height, visibility, etc.) are deciding factors. A typical offshore wind project will plan for significant downtime due to bad weather conditions. Unlike workers onshore, offshore technicians do not drive themselves to the work site but are transported by a vessel, which has its own crew. Offshore technicians are dependent on a complex logistical arrangement that includes transfer to and from a vessel or helicopter, coordination with other marine vessels, and extra marine rescue equipment (for example, an immersion suit).
