Once active, you must meet further requirements to maintain active status. These include completion of technician-level training and certification in hazardous material (hazmat) operations. In addition, after becoming a member, you must also attend a minimum of 50% of all drills conducted by F.A.S.T. and go to at least one F.A.S.T. conference. You may qualify for alternative credit for drills by proving previous experience in actual hazmat emergency response.

The Athabasca deposits have been known since the early 1800s. The first scientific iaterest ia tar sands was taken by the Canadian government ia 1890, and ia 1897—1898, the sands were first drilled at PeHcan Rapids on the Athabasca River. Up until 1960, many small-scale commercial enterprises were attempted but not sustained. A simple way to measure the resistivity of soil is a four-pin method in which four probes are drilled into the ground along a straight line at equal distances a and depth b. The contractor at Site A had a written confined space program however, the permits used onsite were different from those specified in the plan. In addition, confined spaces onsite were not labeled, rescue drills had not been conducted, and employee training records were not available onsite. 

The oil and gas lease under homestead law would simply be the right to conduct drilling operations on a person s surface property. The lease would not constitute a claim to minerals found under a particular surface area as under the rule of capture rule. Since the resci voir could be reached from different surface locations with slant drilling, the economic rent of a homestead lease would be far less than the value of a capture-rule lease. The difference in value would accrue to the driller-finder, thereby encouraging production by making drilling more efficient and profitable.
