Drills, conducting

Once active, you must meet further requirements to maintain active status. These include completion of technician-level training and certification in hazardous material (hazmat) operations. In addition, after becoming a member, you must also attend a minimum of 50% of all drills conducted by F.A.S.T. and go to at least one F.A.S.T. conference. You may qualify for alternative credit for drills by proving previous experience in actual hazmat emergency response. [Pg.153]

Are realistic emergency drills conducted at least twice a year ... [Pg.4]

The Athabasca deposits have been known since the early 1800s. The first scientific iaterest ia tar sands was taken by the Canadian government ia 1890, and ia 1897—1898, the sands were first drilled at PeHcan Rapids on the Athabasca River. Up until 1960, many small-scale commercial enterprises were attempted but not sustained. Between 1957 and 1967, three extensive pilot-plant operations were conducted ia the Athabasca region, each leading to a proposal for a commercial venture, eg, Suncor and Syncmde. [Pg.354]

Has the facility conducted an emergency drill within the last two years (Note date of last drill and whether coordinated with local emergency planning committee.) ... [Pg.157]

A simple way to measure the resistivity of soil is a four-pin method in which four probes are drilled into the ground along a straight line at equal distances a and depth b. Then a voltage V is applied to the two inner probes and a current, T, is measured in the two outer probes (Figure 22.16). This test can also be conducted with the help of a ground icster as discussed in Section 22.3, which normally also has a provision for ihis test. [Pg.710]

Specialty duties are assigned to teams formed for specific tasks or responding to unusual circumstances (e.g., waste characterization, confined-space rescue, asbestos, lead abatement, etc.). These teams are formed, as necessary, on a permanent or temporary basis. In many cases, special training, drills and exercises, and development of safe work plans are needed to prepare team members to conduct work safely and effectively. [Pg.37]

The contractor at Site A had a written confined space program however, the permits used onsite were different from those specified in the plan. In addition, confined spaces onsite were not labeled, rescue drills had not been conducted, and employee training records were not available onsite. [Pg.202]

The oil and gas lease under homestead law would simply be the right to conduct drilling operations on a person s surface property. The lease would not constitute a claim to minerals found under a particular surface area as under the rule of capture rule. Since the resci voir could be reached from different surface locations with slant drilling, the economic rent of a homestead lease would be far less than the value of a capture-rule lease. The difference in value would accrue to the driller-finder, thereby encouraging production by making drilling more efficient and profitable. [Pg.962]

The vast majority of bioassays on marine organisms have been conducted on toxicants that are soluble in seawater. Because drilling mud contains solid particles, a special procedure had to be developed. [Pg.684]

Up until 1970 all directional drilling was conducted using singleshot and multishot data. The normal procedure was ... [Pg.901]

Focused Current Resistivity. Focused resistivity devices are particularly suited for wells where highly conductive drilling muds are used, where relatively high formation resitivities are encountered and where large resistivity contrasts are expected. [Pg.978]
