The main objective of the present investigations was to evaluate different dormancy breaking techniques for medicinally important species of the family Solancaeae. 

Fourth paper towel was placed on top of them. Paper towel were rolled gently to form a tube. Rolled papers were placed in suitable container in upright position covered with polyethylene bags and kept in germinating chamber on recommended temperature 20-25°C (Jennifer and James, 1997). Germination was not observed in any of the species. These dormant seeds were subjected to different dormancy breaking treatments. 

Ten seeds from each dormant species were subjected to different dormancy breaking treatments. Seeds were given nine different treatments as following ... 

All selected species showed different behavior towards different dormancy breaking treatments (Figure 1-8). Solarium incanum and S. melongena showed response to maximum number of treatments, whereas response of Datura innoxia recorded only for a few treatments. Solarium erianthum, S. melongena and S. incanum have 100% germination, following pre-chilling and 80%, 100%, 90%, respectively after GA3...
