Divisional Separation

Four divisional separations are used for reactor trip, isolation, and ECC inputs and outputs, both physically and electrically. Physical separation divisions are established by their relationship to the reactor vessel, which is divided into four quadrants. The sensors, logic, and output of the various systems are allocated to divisions. [Pg.137]

Connections between divisions are isolated optically at the output of the originating cabinet or panel and buffered electrically at the receiving cabinet or panel. Connections to external devices, such as annunciators, indicators, and the computer, are similarly isolated and buffered. [Pg.137]

AC and DC power are required for the nuclear system protection system. Power distribution is divided into four divisions. [Pg.137]

An inverter supplied from either the AC emergency bus or the DC battery bus provides AC power for the scram solenoid pilot valves and the main steam isolation valves. [Pg.138]

In the applicant s response subsequent to the restriction requirement, an amended set of claims were filed where only one of the groups listed above was retained and the claims corresponding to the other groups canceled. The claims to the canceled subject matter were subsequently included in four separate divisional patent applications—the primary patent application eventually issued into US 6,939,578 and the four separately filed divisional applications issued into patents as well. [Pg.35]

Used or unused forms that are stolen or lost by the purchaser or supplier must be reported immediately upon discovery of the theft or loss to the Special Agent in Charge of the DBA in the Divisional Office responsible for the area where the registrant is located. The report must contain the serial number for each stolen form. If the serial number is not known, then the date of receipt of the forms and the name and address for the purchaser should be provided. In the event that forms that were lost are found, the DBA should be notified immediately of the discovery of the forms. It is recommended that each purchaser have a mechanism for recoding the serial numbers of the DBA Form 222 that are stored in the facility. The DBA Form 222 should be stored in an area separate from the storage of the serial number documentation. [Pg.114]

The Class IE dc power supply provides power to the Class IE vital ac buses through inverters, and to 125 Vdc loads required for safe shutdown. Each of the four divisions of class IE dc power is separate and independent. Each division has a 125 Vdc battery and a battery charger fed from its divisional 480 Vac Motor Control Center (MCC). This system is designed so that no single failure in any division of the 125 Vdc system will prevent safe shutdown of the plant. [Pg.95]

Each of the four divisions of this class IE vital ac power is separate and independent. Each division is powered from an inverter supplied from a Class IE dc bus. The dc bus receives its power from a divisional battery charger and battay. Provision is made for automatic switching to an alternate Class IE non-vital supply in case of failure of the inverter. [Pg.96]

Established in 1950 as a subdivision of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, after the stimulus of two symposia on fluorine chemistry in 1946 and 1950 attained separate divisional status in 1963. [Pg.444]

There is a separate data set for compounds which cannot be coded into WLN (e.g. seed extracts and reaction products of unknown structure) and these are stored on a random data set with divisional reference number as key. [Pg.79]
